We specialize in partnering with individuals living in extreme poverty (less than $57 a month).
Because we believe that lasting solutions come from local problem solvers, not foreign aid, we equip local people with the tools, connections, and resources to solve their own problems by creating businesses that will last.
Building the ladder out of the pit of poverty is a multi-prong process that requires development in three main areas: 1) Mindset 2) Access 3) Skills.
Mindset
Poverty is more than financial hardship. Poverty creates pervasive hopelessness and negativity that permeates entire communities.
Our Practical Business Workshops introduce a new growth mindset and ignite a positive framework for a new way of thinking. Participants start to see their resources, time, and work as tools to help break their own cycles of poverty!
Access
Starting a profitable business in the world’s most challenging economic environments is difficult and requires ongoing support.
Flint Global connects our partners to the networks they need to run a successful business: local suppliers, markets, financial access, coaches, supportive peer groups, and more.
We connect our partners to local mentors in their communities for immediate and ongoing support throughout their entrepreneurial enterprises and business development.
Skills
Participants are taught foundational business basics and are led through a step-wise approach to building their own business.
Many will go on to start agribusinesses and are taught the high-yield farming practices for small plots of land. By utilizing talents and assets already present, our partners are taught how to create the business that is right for their family and context.
All of our training and coaching is designed to lead families to sustainable incomes so they can flourish for generations to come!
